Relieve, Restore and Reset Your Back with These 10 Products

Sometimes simply going about the business of living life can lead to backaches and pains. According to +he Good Body, eight out of every 10 Americans will experience back pain at some point in their lives—a statistic that's probably not surprising considering all the times you lift, pull, stretch, twist, slouch, bend or otherwise contort your back to do everything from reaching for that cereal bowl in the morning to picking up the kids' toys at night before going to bed.

I tried some of these, and they didn't work for me. But, similar and cheaper than a peanut ball are hard rubber balls from a party store, such as the Pinkie balls from Diddams, which my pilates instructor uses for her class. Search under "ball rolling" for more information about how tense muscles can affect your back.

I think my most important recovery was through mild water exercise classes. IMO, I think it's most important to *stretch* all those muscles that are inactive because of our sedentary lifestyle, and water classes let you do that.

Also, lose weight. Cut out the carbs to reduce hunger. Report
Ive worn a back brace for quite a number of years, well I had. When I gained and gained it no longer fit. I was SUPER embarrassed to be fit for another one. Now YEAH I can easily use it again. I've found for when I need to sit long hours,,, and it's not listed here,,, thermacare wraps for my back works WONDERS !! I can again go for LONG car rides ! A few yrs back I could not even be in one for 20 MINS ! Report

I have an inversion table and it does help. Report
I use the mini ball for leg exercises, lacrosse balls for my feet, a good back cushion for my truck, and I never, ever, lift even modestly heavy items without using a "cargo" belt, much like the one shown. I have severe back damage and "need" surgery, but the belt keeps me going. Resisting using one for many years probably contributed to the list of spinal problems I have. Buy one. Use it! Report
