CHOOSING Health is to Take the High Road~(read on)

ANKYLOSING SPONDYLITIS: That is the diagnosis given me when I was 28 years old! Was told by an Orthopedist that I would be crippled and in a wheel chair permanently in my forties and be disabled. I refused to accept that 'dooms day' sentence ..... After defying the crippling effects this brings, with my spine completely fused , I went through unbelievable pain and still have stiffness but ..... many years later, I continue working in health care full time, have centered my life around fitness and exercise and beat all odds!~A rheumatologist who treated me remarked, " whatever you are doing keep it up" ...(swimming and lots of walking) plus most of all, I am a believer.... And my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ has brought me through much peril into a place of victory and fulfillment..

Sorry that the weather has not been kind to you. *SIGH*

Yes, that’s the positive – that young nurse is 24, so she has a fighting chance.

Yes, it is soooooo hard for EVERYONE to be isolated, but especially those all alone for whatever reason – in a facility or whatever. For sure, how would you begin to explain all this to a 2 yr. old. Impossible.

Yes I have also heard domestic violence has increased. Totally sad.

Got a good early morning walk in, as well. Felt so good.

For sure, the news is NOT on except sometimes briefly @ night – once. That’s it . . . otherwise, nope. Too disheartening.

Blessings, hang in there and we have to keep taking care of ourselves.

My hair actually doesn’t bother me but I do look rough. No more nail polish either - I really like that. The news is painful because the provincial guy likes to one- up our PM...When we must pull together.

I’ll have a nicely spread out birthday. My sister gave me Ghirardelli chocolates, our girls have mailed packages, and husband gave my car a much needed cleaning. I’ll celebrate with friends when we can.

PS: I thought we've been friends for a long time. I'm glad we're connected now.

Saturday. Well, another at home Saturday morning date. Nice, but miss the diner!

Clara got to go home for a few hours yesterday to pay bills. She got a text from a friend of her that is a nurse in MI (she is the daughter of neighbors we had in IL). She contracted the virus, and is hospitalized. Clara feels so bad for her. I do, too. It is just impossible to think how long it is going to take for these young people to get over this psychologically (well, us ‘olders’ too, but especially daunting for the young).

Here’s to a peaceful Saturday that hopefully provides some sunshine!

    Blessings, stay safe, stay well
