After many, many countless attempts at weight loss, trying every single fad diet and magic diet pill and program, I realize that there is no "secret" or magic to it. It's all about a lifestyle change, finding what works for you & sticking with it.

I've been with Sparkpeople for a long time and had many ups and downs. About 9 years ago, I met goal and was able to maintain goal range for about 5 years or so. Slowly but surely, I backslid and the weight piled back on. I never left Sparkpeople, but life got in the way and I was not very active on here at all and quit tracking all together.I had 2 foot surgeries (one on each foot) this past summer- one in May & when that one healed enough - one in August, which also helped me to pack on some extra weight. I am now at my heaviest in nearly 10 years. I have about 25 pounds to lose, again.

I tried many times along the way to restart, but it never really lasted more than a few days or a week at a time. I always pout everything before me and my journey, figuring I'll get to it some day. That "someday" is TODAY.

Today is the day I recommit to taking my life, my health back. One day at a time, One pound at a time.

I am actually really excited about this new chapter in my life and I look forward to making more new friends along the way! We can & will do this! We are all in this together :)

Hey girl, how is your weekend going? Mine not to bad. Not tracking but doing my best to stop when full, get my water in, and move more. Today is quiet after a busy few weeks. I think Brittney hates it but that is life.

Tomorrow is my weekly trip to the supermarket and target. I hope to wash my car and mow the lawns before dinner.

Xander's skin is finally calming down and able to see visible improvements.

Kids are pretty much done with school. I get the report cards Wednesday morning. Then we have our annual end of the year dinner. (take-out of course)

Then Xander's bday is the 3rd, Tom as the 4 and 5 off for what was MegaCon. He left it to me to find ways to entertain the kids for the summer as cheaply as possible and as safely as possible. THANKS DUDE.

I am hoping to start getting more exercise in my days. Just some day (as you know) it is soooo hard. I have been feeling bad for letting 65 days go by and not do things like fitness and forced family fun time....LOL

Well, off to get dinner ready. Doing bbq ribs in the instapot with backed potatoes.

    Love ya
