As I reflect on the past year, I've made great strides but I've still got a long way to go towards healthy. I'm a 31 yr old, college student with a chronic disease. Unfortunately my health problems effect my ability to eat and digest most foods, and effects my ability to do activities. Before I got sick I weighed in at 224 (heaviest), I tried everything even the extreme to no avail. Since getting sick I now weigh between 135-140 (on average). Before joining SPARKS my philosophy was "just eat whatever you can when you can" and "just move when your able". That method was not working for me or my health. Since joining SPARKS I have learned how to better fuel my body and have been able to find workouts that work for me. I have never felt so close to "normal" in my life. LOVE YOU SPARKS!

Fitness Minutes: 14,674

My Goals:
Drink more water.

Be healthy!

Make healthier food choices.

Figure out and eat the right amount of calories for me.

*January Goals:*

-Over 1500 Fitness Minutes

-Strength Train 3 days a week.

-Eat correct amount of calories 7 days in a row.

-Drink 11-12 8oz glasses of water a day (keep increasing 1-2 glasses a day until stop feeling the effects of dehydration)

-Get on my WII 200 minutes this month.


My Program:
*Wii Fit/Wii Sports
*Dancing around to my ipod (the more you look like an idiot the more calories you burn is my philosophy)
*Swimming
*Tae Bo
*Zumba
*Hiking
*Weights
*Balance Ball
*Anything I can do physically at the moment



Personal Information:
I live in one of the most active places I've ever been to. It seems like EVERYBODY and their mothers walk or bike EVERYWHERE. I want to be one of those people. I want routine.


Other Information:
Long Term Goals:
*Run/jog/walk a 5k
*Run/jog/walk a 10k (gotta run that 5k first!)
*Be able to last through an entire Hot Yoga session.
*Join a kickboxing class (got to be healthy and in shape 1st!)

    your are young...in your favor...taking control...positive goal plans...covering all the areas for success, if you accomplish only half of this you are a STAR!!!
    don't burn yourself out, down time will destress your mind and body....balance is your key to success. unless you are heading for the olympics your programs sound intense...be dedicated but diligent and every now and then just look up and be thankful for all the good days. emoticon

    Hi I got your comment on my Blog and yess 500 calories, that is part of the HCG diet I am doing. I have researched it and yes it isn't a lot but I am ready for some drastic reaults and from what I read might just do that. Thanks for the advice.
