I am my own worst enemy! I love all the foods that are bad for me, but now I’m kicking my cravings butt…

If you haven't already, JOIN THE FIGHT WITH ME, and put your enemy in the hurt locker! It really is worth fighting for! Better health, elevated moods, more energy, lowered health risks… what more do you want?

I've lost over 35 lbs since July, and I am not far from my goal now. Besides changing my eating habits and becoming more active, I have found that the greatest change has been my attitude toward ageing.

I am making plans to see 120, and that means I have to decide if it was worth fighting for every day in what I eat and do, and IT IS WORTH FIGHTING FOR!

I may not live half that long, but I'm making healthy choices so I can. Just like everyone else, I have a retirement plan, and if God lets me live long enough to retire, I want to enjoy it.

Doesn't it make sense to invest in our health also? That's why I'm planning on seeing 120. Why not? I have found that...

STRIVING FOR THE IMPOSSIBLE IS THE SPICE OF LIFE.

My Goals:
Besides reaching my weight goal, (and living to see 120 ; ) I want to see my abs. To me this will be the crowning victory.

My Program:
I do cardio in the mornings before breakfast. I believe that this has been a major key to my success. Mon, Wed, & Fri I do a 20 min cardio w/ full output every 5 mins for 1 min. and then weight train.

Tues, Thurs, & Sat I do 1 hour of cardio w/ full output for 1 min every 10 min.

I also ride my bike to work which is a total of 8 miles a day, and about a mile of running…I am slowly increasing the distance.

I started by controlling my food portions to the size of my fist, but now I'm trying to eat as much fruit and vegetables and whole grains, nuts, and seeds as possible. I'm not a vegetarian, but I'm pretty close. If I could, I'd eat nothing but all organic foods.

I am also triing to get plenty of protein which is a bit challenging. 60% from food, & 40% from supplements.

Personal Information:
I'm 34, and I was born and raised in Idaho, but have since lived in the White Mountains of Arizona, and now in Oklahoma. I am happily married to the most beautifulful, and most wonderful woman in the world... and I am tremendously blessed to have 3 fantastic kids; David, Malachi, and Julianna, with one on the way!!!

Lastly, but certainly not least, I am a Christian. Through many supernatural experiances I have come to know Jesus Christ is more than just a story...
He is the King of Glory. With out Him, I am a failure. He is truely the secret to my success.

Other Information:
"Ah, but a man's grasp should always exceed his grasp, or whats's heaven for?" -Robert Browning

Hey, thanks for the comment! I really liked what you had to say on my thread about the self-talk. It's so important what we say to ourselves, and how we frame our attitudes about things. In fact, I think it's crucial.

It looks like you are kicking some butt on the scale, there, Paul! Way to go! Keep it up! I'll be catching up with you soon enough! :)

Hi Paul! Just looked at you scale and you are kickin' butt! Way to go my friend!

I'm hanging in there - fighting the good fight! We are heading into Salt Lake City, Utah Wednesday so I can drive the son-in-law there nuts! LOL!

Hope the Holidays are being good to you! Keep checking on me - I had a relapse over Thanksgiving and my old turtle started back pedaling over the mountains! Got her headed right now but parties still ahead! Thanks for checking!
