My name is Anna and I have always been overweight. I have finally decided it is the right time to shed the pounds and feel better about myself! I want to be able to run a half or full marathon by my birthday next year, 2012.

I would also love to be in shape to keep up with my Army man. Possibly run a quicker mile than him, this is my ultimate goal!!!

I have lost about 40 pounds before but now I have 45 more to lose! Got to get back to eating right and exercising! We can all accomplish our mission, let's stick together!

UPDATE: Only have 38 more pounds to go!!! WOOHOO
:)

Wow, what do I do for exercise? When I was living in Arizona (up until last week), I was hiking on the weekends, running a couple miles each weekday. Now that I'm back in Cali, no mountains are nearby, so I'm running 5ks around my neighborhood. Today I started working out with an exercise bike and elliptical machine. Ended up combining for 2 hours today to try and get out of my emotional plateau. I also do some recommended strength training exercises from SP to work on my core a little more :)

I'm glad you were able to find a MAN who wants to support you in all of your goals. That's so awesome!

Hey Anna! Much like Jessi below (she's awesome, by the way!), I don't really know about plateaus. Since I'm still overweight, the weight is more than willing to fall off, so long as I keep active and stay within my nutritional range. I've been sort of stuck in the same range for the last month or so, but it's from a myriad of factors.

I know this info doesn't help at all, but I'm hoping you're able to find the plateau answer and continue your journey soon!
