My name is Anna and I have always been overweight. I have finally decided it is the right time to shed the pounds and feel better about myself! I want to be able to run a half or full marathon by my birthday next year, 2012.

I would also love to be in shape to keep up with my Army man. Possibly run a quicker mile than him, this is my ultimate goal!!!

I have lost about 40 pounds before but now I have 45 more to lose! Got to get back to eating right and exercising! We can all accomplish our mission, let's stick together!

UPDATE: Only have 38 more pounds to go!!! WOOHOO

Goal #1: Be under 200 pounds for the first time in years - ACCOMPLISHED!!! This is the most exciting goals of them all!

Goal #2: Start running

Goal #3: Make eating healthy a habit

Goal #4: 180 - drivers license weight... hehehe

My Program:
Drinking 8 - 8 ounces of water daily.

Eating more fruits and veggies.

Eating less carbs (no carbs after 3) and more protein.

Cutting out fast food and sweets

Exercising everyday. Cardio 5times a week: Elliptical, treadmill, Zumba (once a week). Strength training MWF: squats, lunges, push ups and ball kicks 2x and then crunch bench press on ball, bench row twist, and tricep dips 2x

I really hope this works.. I am more than ready for this weight to be gone for good!

UPDATE: Seems to be working! Can't believe how much weight I have lost!

My goal is to start running. With the help of my family and friends I will be at my goal weight and fitness level in no time! I have two puppies and an amazing boyfriend to support me along my journey!

    The scale will not tell you when you are adding muscle, so that could very well be the issue. You are losing fat, but gaining muscle from your exercising. That's assuming you are measuring your food to track it so that your nutrition tracking is accurate.

    But the bottom line is: you are doing the healthy things and that WILL translate into weight loss, fitting your clothes better and a healthier you!! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
