The Harry Dresden series is urban fantasy (not sure what genres you prefer). It's the story of Harry Dresden, a Chicago wizard. He advertises in the phone book, is a private investigator, and consults with the police on 'weird" cases. As with most series of this type, the bad guys start relatively small and progress in power and badness with each successive book.

I totally agree about Frankenstein. The first time I saw a movie version (I don't remember which version) it was a whole different feel and point from the book. When I finally read the book I was sort of surprised - I thought the underlying themes were pretty clear.

    Hi Cat,

Thanks for your note. I had a super rough week last week. The weekend was better, in that yesterday was full of activity. Thanks for reaching out.

How about you? How are things going?
