Thanks for the comment on my blog. I previously worked in the food industry as well and it can be tempting. I am going to be in the 130s by the end of June. You can do it too! 642 days ago

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I just saw him finish his SECOND bowl of cereal this morning - they're small bowls but that's more than he was eating a week ago in a whole day. So I am seeing such improvement. I'm honestly starting to miss cooking dinner and cooking is NOT one of my favorite things to do! 657 days ago
My sore knee is a result of an accident six years ago. It healed up without any issues, but a year later I ended up in the hospital because it somehow got infected (no idea what caused the infection, and the mircro-biologist that tended to me at the hospital had no clue either). They also found arthritis in the knee (probably because of the accident).
I ended up having surgery to remove the infected tissue. I had 12 weeks of very aggressive antibiotic treatments, and it took about three months to heal, after the treatments ended. I had little or no pain for nearly 5 years..
Fast forward to last summer. My younger dog, Iris, is always in a hurry - she has knocked me over, tripped me, and I have fallen a number of times on the same knee as a result of her playful behaviour.
The first time she knocked me over was last June. I landed hard on my knee on the cement sidewalk, and was sore for about two months. Just when it healed up, she knocked me down again, and then again. The last time it happened was in February.
Each time I hurt it, it takes longer to heal. The pain is unbearable sometimes, especially after sitting for long periods of time. I think there's a pinched nerve in there, but I haven't had it checked (stubborn).
