Our powerwall stores energy from the solar panels. When it reaches 100%, the power is "sold" back to the electric company (goes back to the grid). If and when the power from the electric company goes out, the powerwall kicks in and we have power!! We hope that the powerwall is always at 100%; however, at night it uses the powerwall rather than the power from the grid. It's really a great thing to have. We have only 8 solar panels, but it is enough to generate power to our house without being overly excessive. The powerwall is a box that is attached to the wall of our garage. It is 269 pounds and is 45.3" x 29.7" x 6.1". It doesn't take up much space since it is attached to the wall. Look up Tesla Powerwall 2 for more information.

Thank you for commenting on my blog today! What planting zone are you in? I'm in 9b. Technically, my Spring garden pretty much reaches the fallow stage in mid-July - Just too darned hot. We get a second shot at it in the Fall - I'll start seedling in about mid-September and plant out in October and November. Our first frost date is December 15, but our coldest month is January/February - Our last frost date is February 15, so we pretty much grow year 'round. 520 days ago
