Sometimes we may lose our way and need to refocus. Such is a time. I've been thru a couple of injuries, illnesses lately and it's thrown me around. Emotional eating happens often for us at these times. Mine wasn't that bad, and it was mostly I wasn't able to exercise as I normally would.

I am still facing more Dr appointments, and tests, but I am HOPING the worse, the scariest stuff is over. I do have another brain scan left to go, but I am hoping that's been taking care of with an increase in a medication. Sure, I'll bruise very easily again and I HATE that (ever had a stranger come up to you in a store and say "If you are being hurt, I'll help you" and while it's so loving strangers care, it's also YIKES Its embarrassing. Yet, it also gives me a chance to assure them I am fine. If they ask any further questions, i am open about why I am on a blood thinner due to a brain aneurysm that fortunately was found by accident. If they mention a close relative (parent/sibling/ child) has had one I do urge them to at least get a MRI done. It can save their lives.

COURAGE helps to SLAY anxiety of "is something wrong"? Often times our minds FEAR the worse, but RARELY are things that bad, and 95% of the time we fear whats not realistic.

To stay in my calorie range that Sparks has set up for me. With my carbs, proteins and fats in the allowable allowance. HOW? Meal PLANNING!! WOOHOO!!
My Exercise:
As we will start the 5% Challenge (GOOOOO AWESOME A team!) I'm in week 3 of a broken foot, and it may take another 3 or 4 weeks, perhaps more to fully recover. It's still quite painful. So my PREFERRED exercise is WALKING, but that's OUT otherwise than using my knee scooter which does burn calories so well, but can hurt my leg so I need to be aware of it. So instead I am working on my core muscles, my arms and I'll do a TON of stretching with easy yoga! Sitting of course!

I LOVE my family of which includes "the little guy" who is 2 years old. He's the 1st GGS and awww not at ALL SPOILED at Grandma's! LOL Right!!

Have learned cooking is a GREAT means to YUMMY, but much healthier food!! It's not complicated, but still very tasty.

I am OWNED by a brown tabby her name is Izzy, but she's as sweet as they come. Yet, she sure does make me laugh and laugh!! I am so fortunate to live right on the harbor!! What a view!! I am grateful for this.

    I have spinach, arugula, kale and cilantro. I hate them all (yucky) but the cilantro. The arugula is especially yucky. Have you tried it? Won't buy it anymore. Thanks! emoticon Are you feeling much better from the cold and from that stressful day you had? I sure hope so! emoticon

    Actually, I lost my health insurance when Obamacare passed. I had BCBS ppo for 40 years that I worked and paid into. The premium went up to 1700.00 a month. I tried to enroll with another carrier and was denied due to hypothyroidism. I pay$

    Thank you for your message about my computer. I have a techie friend who suggested I get a new computer. Mine is several years old and he claims the update isn't always great. Who knows?? I think I'll go the way of a new one but thanks again for your thoughts.

    Our Thanksgiving Day snow fall melted in less than a week and it's been raining here today. Temps should be warming up for the rest of the week, which is sort of a relative thing. Will see what it feels like.

    Sorry you are not having the snow you want, but I suspect it will arrive eventually, so stay out of the rain until them.
