Thanks for the comment on the hat in Knitting in the Dark. The yarn was originally meant for a pair of socks but I think a couple of hats out of it will be better!

Knitting in the dark (almost dark) is easier if I do it on circular needles and it is only knitting -- no purling. Once I get a few rows past the cast on and with rolled brim hats I put one row of purl to keep the brim from rolling on to the top, it is just knitting and feeling the stitches. Good luck on your next attempt.

Thanks for the blog love about Roses in Winter. It probably won't appear until I am finished since all the photos will look like this one!

Not any 95 year old, lol. He is at the gym at 5:30am, works at a community kitchen twice a week, is a very active Rotarian and is also still heavily involved at his local Legion branch. The kids never had a chance! emoticon

Thanks for the comment about sun driving. I can deal with anything, with the help of sunglasses and visors, but it is a nice thing to know it is off the list with I drive to my friend's. Then I just have to worry about walking a bit in the middle and usually finding a restroom!
