Hi! I am new and not new....I made an account a while ago but had not been active on this sight. I am back now because I realize I need healthy support from other people on this weight loss journey too. And this journey is not only about losing weight, it is about changing our thoughts about ourselves, about food and our behaviors with food. I have been working Really hard to change my thoughts about myself - developing self love and self esteem. SPARKLE ON!

My Goals:
My goals are thus:
1) Continue to improve my self love and self esteem by controlling my thoughts - thinking positive thoughts from a place of intention - ( thoughts become feelings and reactions to my world - they create my world, if you will).
2) Using healthy whole foods to fuel my body and give it the respect it deserves. This also means giving up junk food - not to deprive my body of good taste but to deprive by body of food that is unhealthy and , ultimately, hurts it.
3) To start to use my body in every way I can to become more active. At first, walk more, use the stairs, park far away...all leading up to the ultimate goal of daily workouts ( that I ENJOY) once I have increased my stamina and endurance ( and healed a back/rib problem I am dealing with).
4) To throw away old disordered thought about eating that chained me to unhealthy thinking about myself and my body and made it so I came to distrust my body and become detached from it.

My Program:
I will be eating foods that are low in fat, carbs and sugar. I will not be calorie counting - but portion counting. (Calorie counting in the past had just made me emotionally obsessed with weight loss - lose fast and crash back with yo-yoing). I will be filling up on fresh veggies , lean proteins and good for me foods and foods that make me feel good like: chia seeds, matcha powder, keifer, gogi berries and whole grains.
Personal Information:
I am recovering from an eating disorder. Yup, there, I said it. Stigma be dammed. I have gone from regular weight, to severely underweight to horribly overweight. I have set this aside now. Will it be a struggle to leave these thoughts behind? Yes - but I can and will do it. Now it is time for me and my life - and I am more than a number on the scale :)
Other Information:
I will we not weighing myself daily because, well, I get obsessed really easily like that . I will be weighing once a week to make sure I am maintaining progress. Plus , can anyone relate to this: if I have worked my butt off and the scale does Not reflect that ( because scales fluctuate - lol, it actually Triggers my hunger and ideas of self sabotage! I will, however, weigh in occasionally on here once I know I have gone down a size because my clothes are getting bigger on me.
