Fitness Minutes: 277

My Goals:
I want my senior years to really be my "golden" years!

I want to be a healthy weight and have grace and balance.

I want to be able to fit in seats again; whether it's on a plane, a hockey arena or a theatre.

I don't want to feel pain walking and I want to be able to take stairs normally.

I want to be able to kneel down and garden.

I want to be a success story so that I can be an example to other survivors of CSA who struggle with food addiction as a result of that abuse.

My Program:
I followed the 17DD for 4 rounds in 2011 and lost 50 lbs. Now I'm taking those principles of carb cycling and clean eating and doing my own thing.

I also learned that - "I can do it". It takes constant vigilance, but it's doable.

Recently started Keto and IF (Intermittent Fasting). Haven't really made much progress in the last few years but this is a new decade and I'm determined.
I also learned that a sensitivity to gluten was a major roadblock in my previous weight loss efforts. I would never have learned that without the 17DD.

Personal Information:
I'm from upstate NY, married, no children. We have two dogs and one cat all rescues.
I have fibromyalgia/CFIDS. I'm very into organic gardening and like to travel. My husband and I have a small travel trailer. I'm an avid reader (fantasy fiction, psychology books and mysteries). I like New Age, classical and oldies music, and am very into meditation and mindfulness practice.
My DH and I are both retired.

Other Information:
I believe in the power of the individual to create their own reality.

Anything on MBSR - Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction by Dr. Jon Kabbatt Zin is well worth checking out if you suffer from chronic pain like I do.

    You can do them in the oven too. Line a cookie sheet, bake low and slow.
    I just did a batch of jerky for us. My perfect go to snack, that takes all of any cravings away. Love a good mouth workout LOL Very satisfying.

    Thanks SO much for my crockpot. Too funny, we just went out & purchased one a couple of weeks ago. Love my... chili & soups as our weather changes. Have a MAGNIFICENT Monday Gabby and again, STAY WARM!

    Thanks for stopping by my blog & for your kind words & encouragement. Yes, NINETY EIGHT days, and at the end, it felt like...98 days.

    I will tell you, I believe what made completing the 98 days was the support of my husband, along with the two of us reading aloud our goals & affirmations every morning.

    I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT, and I will enjoy watching you succeed.
