My weight has been an issue all of my life. I was the chubby kid, then the chubby teenager. I did manage to be somewhat in order throughout my 20's and into my 30's and kept my weight at around 130 to 140, sometimes as low as 107. I did this with less than healthy methods, barely eating, and got into exercise at a gym. People thought I looked good, and called me beautiful. I felt I was on the inside, but never really ever thought I had my body the way I wanted it. I never felt thin, not even when I could fit into a size 3. The weight started going up after I got married and it continued to rise until I tipped the scale at 203. Miscarriages, stress, and trouble around every corner made me not care anymore. I say that, but I have ALWAYS cared. Being healthy and fit has always been important to me, and I know God wants me to take care of this vessel He gave me. I am supposed to be a walking witness for Him each day, and in that I have failed. Over 200 and I am a woman just didn't make sense to me, so that's when I decided enough was enough, and started ways in which to get this weight off. As of today I have lost 17 pounds. Please join me as I discover who God really wants me to be, inside all of this EXTRA baggage I've been carrying around.

My Goals:
I want to start with one goal at a time. The BMI chart has me listed as OBESE, so the first goal is to get me off of that chart !!! I have to lose 17 more pounds to accomplish that goal.

My Program:
Yesterday (11-8-14) I started an "intermittent fasting" plan. I have done lots of research, and I need something to jump start this plateau I have been on for months. Seems like common sense, if you take in less than your BMR requires, then the weight will have to follow.

I am posting the worst ever picture of me at the beginning, so that it might inspire people. If you know me, you would know how BIG a step that is !!! I want to try and motivate people by putting it all out there on the table, so that as I walk this journey, you can actually SEE the changes.

    Congrats on taking the first step into changing your life to a more healthier one by joining the site. Spark is filled with amazing people that will motivate, support and encourage you on your journey. There is so much to learn and discover here, take this one day at a time. A couple of things I would like to suggestion to make you Spark experience a great one.

    1. Make goals for yourself. Each month I make a list of what I want to accomplish that month and break them down to smaller goals to work with week by week. This way the BIG picture doesn't seem so big.

    2. Join Spark teams. There are tons of teams here and you will be able to find ones that fit to what you like or want in a team.

    The key to success here is to be active and you've already started by joining. You will find that everyone is willing to help you out if you need it. Spark friends are here for support, motivation and encouragement. Good luck on your journey to a healthier lifestyle! Again, welcome to the SP family!
