Hello, Harriett! I am Kathryn from the Lowering Salt team. Read on a thread that you consider the salt amount in making recipes. I have been leaving it out when making a new one only to try again using half. LOL My biggest challenge , so far, has been getting a chicken broth from roasting a whole chicken in a crock pot overnight. I add no liquid. When chicken is done. I remove all of it then add veggies/extra seasonings with water but no salt. Have yet to get the broth to taste good. It is so bad I throw it out. Problem is whenever I roast a chicken there is a different amount of liquid from it each time I make it. The recipe says to add water to fill crock pot to make broth. I beginning to think the juice from chicken amount needs to be considered to how much water to add. About to try one more time using a equal amounts plan. Even tried using half of salt recommended to broth stage but still Bleeeck!
Daddy had Lewy's Bodies. I took care of him and alot of what you are going thru with hubbie was that way with Daddy. Few things made it different. We were under the same roof except for first four years of my marriage. Even then Daddy was at my home 5 out of 7 days. Then moved my family back into childhood home with him.Yup, sisters and I were Daddy's Girls. LOL My Mom is 84 and Gar is 87. That is another story.!!!! LOL
You keep taking care of yourself and be safe.....ya hear! You have inspired me to keep trying to improve and to keep going! Thank you.

Thank you for your comment on my blogs
I was feeling a little down reimagining the holidays in our new normal.
Then breaking my glasses and wearing an old prescription pair has reduced my online sparking time, but putting my feelings into words really did help.
New glasses will be ready next week.

I can really sympathize with your park experience
Now I know why the Walmart lady was being so helpful. Today our Board of Supervisors is voting on a resolution to require NON MASKED people to be admitted to public areas. I feel like I am living in crazyland.

All we can do is focus on health and safety, encourage others to do the same and hope for better times in 2021.
