    I am only two tenths of a pound from reaching my goal. I could not have done this without Sparkpeople. So today, I want to say how thankful I am for the inspiration and tools I needed to achieve my weight loss and in doing so, start eating healthier. I am a in my seventies, and losing 15 pounds seemed like a impossible feat.

    My physician told me I was prediabetic a year and a half ago. I could not give up eating sweets, I loved donuts, cakes, pies, fancy desserts and Good & Plenty. In March, my husband and I decided to give up sweets. We were tempted many times, but after a week or so, realized we didn't really miss them. We measure what we eat and track everything, and will continue to do so, because we know that is the only way we can maintain. Happy, Healthy, and Thankful!

We have ten teams that compete with each other in Fitness and Nutrition Challenges designed your promote positive lifestyle changes, and of course weight loss. There are different challenges each week for the duration of the challenge. Support and encouragement are a important aspect of the smaller individual teams.     I rejoined Sparkpeople after a lapse of seven years. My husband and I are staying at home due to Covid-19. I received an email from Sparkpeople and was inspired to go to the website. We decided to spend our self-quarantine time attempting to lose weight and get back to healthier eating. Thinking about what we are going to eat, tracking, and walking will keep our minds off being confined. Feeling thankful!
