I've been a member of Spark since Aug. of 07, although I didn't start using it until Jan. of 08. I lost 33 lbs. and maintained it for over a year. When I turned 50 I looked and felt the best I had in years.
Life got busy and I slowly gained it all back plus some extra. I've been struggling to get back on track for over a year. I do well for a few days and then I fall off the wagon. I can't seem to find and keep my motivation.
Over the years of losing and not learning how to maintain I've learned that I have to do exercise I enjoy, eat some of the foods I like, and not try to be perfect.
I'm going to try again to get this weight off. I felt so much better and better about myself when I was thinner. I'm not going to make promises that I will reach certain goals by specific dates. That has worked for me in the past, but not lately. I don't want to break any more promises to myself so I'll take it slow.

I joined in Oct. '07, so you are one of the few who has been here longer than I have. Just have to stay with it.

Happy Birthday to your son. Being a Scorpio isn't easy. My husband is one. I've always found that Scorpio children had an issue with the father. My husband's father came home from WW2 and they got married and 2 months later she was pregnant because there had been a blizzard and the power was off all day. His father never got over the fact that they already had a kid that fast and he hadn't even found a job yet. They never were close. His Dad was 31, but he just wasn't ready to deal with a child. He did get a job on the railroad and did well, but they struggled the first couple of years.
