Introduction Text I was on here years ago and lost 30 lbs. I was back on again a few years ago and didn't stick with it. Now I weigh 165 lbs, my triglycerides are 557, my total cholesterol is back up at 208, and my A1C is 6.3. I am now officially prediabetic. I am out of options and it is time to change my lifestyle on a permanent basis. I have lost 4 lbs in 6 days and my goal is to be under 160 lbs by Monday and 145 lbs by Christmas. Drastic diagnoses require Drastic measures. I am doing this by eating zero sugar and only up to 100 grams of complex carbs per day!!

I need to lose some weight to make it easier on my knees and hips, and strengthen my back. I have been reevaluating my life and making positive changes.

I'm using this program and a Prevention walking program. I walk daily, do cardio, and some light strength training 2-3 times a week. I am proud to say that I can now hike, dance and swim. I would love to be able to play volleyball again. Recently I learned that I have arthritis, but I won't give up, not ever!!

I am an RN, live in California, have a dog, a husband, 3 adult children, and 2 grandchildren - my life in one sentence.

Chocolate is not the enemy. Everything in moderation. But remember, nothing tastes as good as skinny feels.
