Hi IILAAD65. I get that comment all the time that I don't look like the same person. I say to them that I also don't feel like the same person! I am truly happy with all my accomplishments and am a better person for it.

You are doing a great Job yourself. Make sure you take a lot of pictures of b4 that way you too can look back and see the person you were and who you have become!!

    Good Luck!

Hi Beth, thankis for leaving a message on my spark page. You do look a bit like agent Scully. Lucky you. To make a virtual model go to www.mvm.com. I have the now and the future posted at my desk at home and work so I can keep my eye on the prize. This weight is coming off of me very slowly. I lost 5 lbs the first week and thought - great this is just going to fall off. But now it is just hanging on, not wanting to budge off. And then I read how people are exercising like they are going to the Olympics and I feel like I will never keep up. But I just keep counting my calories and doing the best I can. I have faith that it will eventually melt off of me. To me. sticking to this plan beats the alternative - weighing over 200 lbs for the rest of my life. We can do this. Susan

Hi, Beth, I saw your comment on Susan's sparkpage, and had to agree with you how sad that is about teachers. My father taught for 52 years, then retired and taught at the college 5 more. He actually was devoted, but it certainly didn't pay, especially all the late hours doing lesson plans and grading papers. I know what you mean about fearing another failure...I was almost to the point of not starting another one because of that. But we just gotta keep our eyes on the horizon ahead! I wish you the MOST success, you've got a good start, and just keep on keeping on! Does anybody ever tell you how much you look like.... Agent Scully?

I saw you on the "what I learned today board." We are starting from similar points (I weigh a few more lbs.) but our goals are the same. I thought that was kind of neat. I agree, teachers are not paid enough. It is kind of sad what is valued monetarily. I am a nurse. We use to feel that way but with the shortage salaries are really going up. Of course that will make it harder for everyone to pay for healthcare. Did you recently join Sparkpeople? Susan
