Introduction Text Hi, my name is Rose. I'm 59 and have fought my weight for almost 30 years now, since putting on over 120lbs in 15 months. I suffer from high blood pressure, high cholesterol (both controlled by meds), an underactive thyroid, and some physical disability due to sciatica, osteoporosis and a knee and hip both needing replacement. My goal is to lose 162lbs to get back to what was my "normal" weight for 15 years, and hopefully be able to stop taking most of my meds. Some days I think I must rattle! However, I LOVE my life! I have 2 acres of land and share it with my hubby, 3 cats, 5 dogs, 4 goats, and numerous chickens. I am blessed with many friends all over the world, have 3 children and 9 grandchildren, and am in my element now. I love history, write poetry, enjoy reading thrillers of all sorts, am a strong believer in early childhood education and that childhood should be a magical time. For now, counting calories and moving a bit more. I have hip, knee and back probs so energetic exercise is out of the question right now. I''m trying to make sure and do SOMETHING every day though.
