But purports to prove that the calorie BURN is not significantly higher with more activity, whereas the calorie INTAKE is much higher with the sedentary lifestyle: obesity resulting.
We may under-estimate how much of our calorie burn results from ordinary metabolic activities such as breathing, maintaining blood pressure, cognitive activities etc. Relatively little more calorie burn resulting from deliberate and vigorous activity . . .
I know that to lose weight/maintain weight loss, I need to eat less much more than I need to move more . . . and that even 100 excess calories a day (relatively trivial) will put on a pound a month, compounding to 12 pounds a year, further compounding over the years!!
I don't think anybody likes to see children's growth stunted because of parasites and the need to be scavenging constantly . . .
And yes, that experience of XC skiing with the eagles is one I won't soon forget . . . euphoric!! 1 day ago
ONEKIDSMOM
No problem. When you have a lot of Spark friends, feed crossing is an easy thing to happen. And I'm always happy to brag on my kid, his GF (who is VERY good for him) and of course, dear Carl. Now I'm going to have to go check out SweetEnoughGill! 3 days ago

The people would be "the mythical son" and his current live-in girl friend. They celebrated a year together in November. I had met her for the first time about a year ago now, and she's the photographer getting most of the Carl (that's the dog) pictures these days. But soon I'll get a visit from my grand-dog... it's on the calendar for Sunday. I'm trying to prepare Prisoner and Rubia for that... they've become quite spoiled during the pandemic. 4 days ago
SUNSHINEYOURWAY
Thank you for the spark goodie, not sure why two goodies posted for you. Maybe you are doubly cold. Weather has been nasty the past several days. I missed my long run Saturday and Tuesday weather not looking good. Are you still running? Out of 5 races last year, I only got to run one real live race. This year I have one that was deferred to May and another one in November.. Hopefully we will see some normalcy soon with the Covid 19 vaccinations becoming available. I was able to get my first dose Saturday and 2nd dose March 14th. Missing my son who lives in Colorado. It has been since Thanksgiving since I have seen him.
PS.. I hope you will come chat on the Galloway team.. Catharine and I are trying to bring it back to life. Covid really has changed many things.
