My name is Kate and I'm a foodaholic. I'm hoping to be a thinner, better me. I want to be a better role model for my daughter and to feel happier in my own skin and maybe somehwere along the way know what its like to go to the beach and actually go swimming.

I got engaged on April 3rd 2009, to the love of my life, he's American and I'm Canadian. That's what spurred my sudden need to be a better person.

July 2009
My fiance visa has gotten it's first approval, all thats left now is the interview this however is several weeks ahead of schedule it looks like I might be tieing the knot in September now instead of November all the more reason to bust it into high gear.

I've been doing really well so far I have about 8 weeks before my visa Interview, I'd like to lose 24 lbs in that time.

December 2009
I slipped up and fell off the wagon in August. I'm back now, only gained 10 pounds, however all in all I'm thankful because it could have been much *much* worse.

Between moving across the continent, getting married and moving again, my lifestlye change really fell to the wayside. Things are settled and I'm ready to dust myself off and make leaps and bounds towards my goals.

My new years resolution is to lose 60 lbs. this year.

To start jogging outside.

To be able to run for a sustainable period of time. (Goal met 12/06/2009 10 mins)

To be able to run at 4.5 mph for 15 minutes.

To weigh less that 200 lbs.

To wear a bikini outside.

My Program:
I excersize for at least 30 minutes a day. Any excercize counts, even if it's just hardcore cleaning or walking on the treadmill while I watch TV.

I try to stay at the low end of my calorie range 1200-1550 and in addition I try finding ways to put more energy and movement into my every day activites.
