My journey to a healthier me started in 2012. It has been rocky, down 52 pounds, up 49 pounds. I want to lose 103 pounds and I am on the way back down. My journey to a healthier me started in 2012. It has been rocky, down 52 pounds, up 49 pounds. I want to lose 103 pounds and I am on the way back down. The reason is that I have learned that my journey will continue to be rocky if I don't make these changes lifelong. I am trying to be accountable, responsible, and gracious with myself. I do not expect perfection, but I expect myself to do the best I can and every moment. In the past, I would have expected perfection and been disappointed in myself when I did not achieve it. I have set goals and plan to keep them. I may have to amend them if they are not realistic, but for now they seem appropriate.

My Goals:
My goal is to lose 103 pounds and to become more healthy. I have found that I am not able to do things that used to be easy for me. I will track all food eaten and stay within my goal range. I will eat at least 3-5 serving of fruit/veggies daily. I will exercise for at least 10 minutes everyday. I will do strength training at least 2 days per week. I will drink at least 32 ounces of water everyday. I will sleep at least 7 hours per night.
My Program:
I am going to the gym for at least 4 to 5 hours per day (5 days per week). I am spending 2 1/2 to 3 hours in the pool, and am doing Pilates, strength training (on machines), and just added yoga. I am walking on the weekends. I am tracking all food and water (although, I need to get better at tracking water).
Personal Information:
I am married and have 3 adult children. My husband and I have been married for 28 years. I love to sing and play my viola (although, I don't play often now). I love to exercise. I am blind and am trying to improve my braille reading speed. I am fairly new to gardening, and am trying to learn more about how to care for all of the flowers in my yard. I plan to plant a vegetable garden this year, and hopefully we will enjoy some yummy vegetables!
