Introduction Text The struggle with weight has been a life long challenge for me. I was in WW in high school, did aerobics classes with my mom, have tried the cabbage soup diet, fasted, done slimfast, got a gym membership, eaten clean and various other "weight loss" strategies and I have lost from 20 to 80 lbs at various points but have had difficulty maintaining those losses over any period of time. I want to look in the mirror and feel good about my body. I am ready to make a permenant change and treat myself with the kindness that I treat others. This is a life long change that I am committing to each day. There will be rough times and bad days but one day is not a pattern unless I give up. Each day I wake up knowing I can and will be stronger than my old unhealthy habits. 2011: Was a year of rebirth for me and I was on track for the bulk of the year and lost 46 lbs. but by the end of the year I began to get derailed with family challenges and had regained 10 lbs. 2012: This has been by far the most difficult and horrible year of my life. My family is facing significant health issues. My relationship with my long term boyfriend is ending in a hurtful and horrible way and I have been slipping out of control. I have regained a total of 30 lbs. I am trying to get back to being healthy but it is a huge struggle. I am really struggling with emotional eating and feeling crushed by the weight of the challenges, illnesses and betrayals of this year. I am trying to focus on myslef, my health and emotional well-being. I have not given up. I keep coming back and am just focused on being healthy for one day at a time. Looking forward to a better, thinner and brighter 2013. 2013 - 2018: These have been the most exciting and emotionally exhausting years. I started a family and spent most of my energy focused on that which has been the best decision of my life but I failed to spend any energy on my own health. Which has placed me on blood pressure medication. 2019: As we head towards 2019, I am recommitted to getting back to a healthy weight to ensure I can be here to enjoy my family as my kids grow.

My goal is be healthier and happy with my body. "A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step" - this is my first step!

I am trying to stick between 1200-1550 calories a day. I am challenging myself to do at least 10,000 steps a day. I just joined the June Jumpstart Workout and plan to do 28 days of exercise.
