** Tuesday March 2 2021**
- - February ended with no progress re weight loss but with learning a lot about what I am doing - what works and what doesn't.
- - I have learned the hard way that should I eat sugar and flour I will be sick - lots of aches / extra pain / headaches - so for March I am working on staying clear of them
- - Doc has now told me I have bad anxiety - all related to covid so his advice to stop listening to everyone's opinion. I appreciate everyones opinion on what they think the government is doing so all I ask is that others to respect mine. I prefer to listen to the advise of my doctor with respect to wearing a mask when in public areas, to avoid large groups unless everyone is praticing social distancing and wearing a mask.
- - My reboot rezoom course is coming to an end but a group of us (over 225) have formed a private facebook group to work the program at least one more time making use of the material for as long as we have it.

** Thursday February 4 2021***
- - Time seems to have gotten away from me as I can't believe that we are into February already. We are told that spring is around the corner and I am so looking forward to that
- - My progress for January 2021 is that I lost 9 pounds for that month - very over the moon because of that
- - Am going to work my food plan all this month improving on what I accomplished last month. Had 4 meals off plan in January so goal is to be more on track in February with no more than 3 slip ups
- - Am going to be 73 in February so am planning my birthday meal ahead of time and making it as healthy as possible - really want it to be all on plan.
- - Goal is to walk on the treadmill 15 times this month for 7 minutes each time
- - Daily work on my Reboot Rezoom course (ends in March)

** Sunday January 3 2021 **
- - So glad to see this new year - and am praying that the world can heal from covid and we can get on living a somewhat new version of our life.
- - Have started a course with Bright Line Eating called Reboot Rezoom. It officially starts January 6 2021 and goes for 66 days. Have done all the prep work and am so excited about it. Already I can tell it is going to help me come to understand why I go so long on plan and then fall into the ditch. One of the things I am looking forward to in the course is a daily video to watch challenging me on something for the day. I have the 1st assignment already that goes for 21 days which is calling someone on the phone for a short 5 minute call giving and getting support to stay on track and also to commit the next day's food. So far so good - it is working. My next update will be beginning of February and hopefully I will be able to report progress.
- - First thing I have come to understand is to admit 'I am a food addict' = how can I tell this = because I cannot eat like those that eat to live = hard to admit as I have always thought I was like everyone else - but I am not I have a serious weight problem. First step to recovery! ! !

**Saturday December 12 2020**
Have decided it is time to make some changes in my life in order to improve my health. I am a senior citizen (72 soon to be 73) and have been dealing with weight issues for a long time and because of that I now suffer from many related health issues. And they are only getting worse - so now is the time to make changes and I am praying that I didn't wait to long.

After many attempts at different diet plans I have come to realize there are a few things that my body has a hard time digesting. These are (1) sugar (2) flour (3) salt needs to be reduced due to chronic kidney disease

Because of that my plan is now the following
(1) deleting all sugar from my food plan - eating no processed foods as there is just to much sugar in them.
(2) deleting flour - this is a big more tricky but I have found that one slice of bread - flour - causes a trigger reaction with me wanting 2, 3 and so on. This is a work in progress
(3) deleting salt - doctor reinforced a week about - no salt, that means no adding of salt, really no salt - can still hear him reinforcing it as I need to get my kidney function up more
(4) working on cutting back on red meat and chicken for protein to only 3 x a week and looking for other alternatives for protein
(5) all food will be written down in my daily journal the night before and I will commit every morning to only eat what I have written down
(6) I have been measuring my food for a very long time and this will continue

I will be having 3 meals each day, and no snacks. Meals will be laid out as follows
**Breakfast: 1 protein serving / 1 fruit serving / 1 grain serving will be allowed
**Lunch: 1 protein serving / 1 fruit serving / 5 oz of vegetable / 1 fat serving
**Dinner: 1 protein serving / 5 - 6 oz of vegetable / 1 fat serving / 1 grain serving
**Daily water intake: 90 oz - my water jug holds 24 oz which means I will be drinking 4 jugs in a day - working on spreading them out during the day

**Exercise: I am pretty much immobile but will be incorporating walking outside weather permitting or walking on the treadmill. The goal here is to start with 10 minutes in a day and get in 50 minutes in 7 days and go from there.

I will update on a monthly basis praying that at the 1st of each month I will be able to report some progress.

I like your plan. Certain It will take a little time for me to complete eliminate snacks. The water would also require a gradual increase.
