Thank you for reading my blog “Which Way to Warsaw” What a memorable Amsterdam story. You must have looked really "hip" to them. Gotta say of all the times we have been through there, not once did I get offered anything. We did walk with a group through the red light district. Prostitution is legal too and extremely well regulated. Nobody soliciting on the street like in US cities. Sad but it's called the "world's oldest profession" for a reason. 3 days ago

Thank you for reading my “Cylinder Thing” blog. I had to learn "do it myself" hair because the smells in beauty parlors messed with my allergies. When we moved here I told my hairstylist that I would pay her for the entire treatment but I would wash my hair at home, have her cut it and blow it dry and let me out of there. At least there's no cigarette smoke to deal with anymore but I still hate the atmosphere. I just may keep my hair long until it’s safe to travel again. It’s less trouble than I thought and there is no reason for this “hermit” to visit a hair stylist. 6 days ago

Thanks for letting me know what's going on in your state! It looks like about 50% of Texas's energy comes from natural gas, 20% from coal, 20% from wind and 10% from nuclear it wouldn't make sense that there would be less of any of those things in the winter. Rolling blackouts for 2021 were "predicted" if Biden was elected to prove to Americans how badly we need to support the democratic party's desire to rapidly switch to all clean energy, and a lot less of it for us common folk. This is political and all about big money and they don't care if Texans (or anyone else in America) sustains major hardships or even death to get what they want. These guys will stop at nothing- it's unconscionable. Meanwhile they fly around on their private jets and burn jet fuel like crazy whenever they want. But the plebs get no water and no heat in the worst cold snaps in the dead of winter. I bet the white house and the governors mansions across the US are never effected by "rolling blackouts." .. 7 days ago

Thank you for reading my blog “What are they talking about?” and sharing your story When my DD decided to study French (HS & college) I tried to convince her that Spanish would be more useful considering where we lived. Then what a surprise when she met our Slovak relatives who didn't speak English, she was able to converse with them in French! LOL I wish I had learned more when I was younger, but just as with a healthy lifestyle – Never too Late.
