I am a 65 yr. old woman, married almost 44 years, with one daughter. I want to become more fit and healthy in order to feel good, be able to do more things I enjoy, and eliminate some health conditions.

Mantra... "I used to be that way, but now I am different."

Spring 5% Challenge Exercise Commitment

Walk Mon-Sat 15 minutes (burns 360 calories for the week)

SP 9 minute Arm and Shoulder Strength Training video on Mon, Wed, & Fri. (burns 96 calories for the week)

Do SP 12 min. Core Exercise Video on Saturday (burns 44 calories for the week)

Do physical therapy every day.

5% Challenge Diet Commitment

Eat within the calorie range recommended by SparkPeople

Reduce carbs and replace them with vegetables and fruit

Continue drinking 8 or more glasses of water daily

    Thanks for dropping by my blog today. Yes, we are lucky to live here in the South of France. We live in a small village, so it is peaceful as well as beautiful and having the dogs is a great bonus!

    Hey! I am confused about where you post the challenge post too. I am a newbie and the explanation is a little confusing. It is the only thread that I see that says challenge 1. I also saw ”Don’t post here.” ??? Maybe someone will come along and explain it.

    Hi Millerl! Thanks so much for the thoughtful goodie on the 24th!!

    Today is my first day back on Spark since I started my holidays. We were supposed to be in Jamaica until April 9th (we left on March 12), but were forced to come home early due to the virus. Our Anniversary celebration was supposed to happen tomorrow - none of our guests even got to go so we are just grateful we got to spend some time in our favourite place on earth.

    We have been in isolation since returning to Canada. That comes to an end on Thursday next week. I am looking forward to being able to go and buy our own groceries.

    I have been laid off from my job until things return to normal. I hope that you have been feeling well and that things are going good on your end!! Stay well, my friend :)
