I am over 50 and have put on some unwanted pounds and so has my dachshund Stella. My husband and I celebrated 30 years of love last September, we have one all most perfect daughter :) who is married to a great guy we are proud to have as our son-in-law. I spend most days setting at a computer when I am not helping customers or stocking product. Exercise is some what limited as I hurt my neck and upper back in a rideing accident while showing a horse some years ago. But walking is good for me so that is my main form of exercise. We are living longer then ever now and I want the best quality of life I can acheive so I can be there for my husband and daughter and son-in-law. I want to live an activ, healthy life and I think Spark People will provide the support and motivation to help me meet my goals.

Fitness Minutes: 8,290

My Goals:
I want to loose 54 pounds in the next year.

I am going to set monthly goals to meet
March-Loose 10 lbs
Update- Lost 8 pounds.
April-Complete 4mile Trolly Run
UPDATE- Compleated Trolley race in 55 minutes.
May- increase exercise by adding 15 more minutes a day.
UPDATE- Encreased walking to 6 miles 4 days a week and 2 miles the other 3.
New Goal- Enter and compleate a race each month.
UPDATE- Riding my bike 30 minutes a day three times a week. (Cutting back a little on Stella's portions as it is to hot most days to walk her very far.)

My Program:
I am counting points and weighing and measuring all the food I eat. Getting at least 30 minutes of exercise 6 days a week. Stella enjoys watching me exercise.
UPDATE-Stella is now walk/Jog 11/2 miles to 2 miles three times a week and is getting baby carrots for treats.

Personal Information:
I enjoy spending time with my family and animals. Like to take photo's of any thing interesting, playing golf, reading a book, love to go camping and love growing a vegetable and flower garden. Stella likes to chase rabbits and ride on the golf cart.
