One of my Spark friends had this on his status (4/28/2016) -- THENEWMICHAEL "When it comes to measuring progress, the mirror is a better instrument than the scale."
WOW!!! That is something we all need to take to heart!

JOHAL52 is still in a holding pattern over life. But that's okay--sometimes holding patterns can lead to growth--it's up to me :) -- Her status for 2Aug11 -- A small comment that speaks volumes.

My Goals:
To exercise more, get more toned, and get to a healthier weight. I would like to stave off any joint problems in legs and hips.

Another goal which I have is to get rid of a lot of the "stuff" I possess, way more than I need to have.

My Program:
Portion Control - although I haven't been real successful in doing this, I am more aware of what portions are and try to stick with them most of the time.

I use the nutrition tracker and follow no particular weight loss diet, just try to get more freggies, less carbs and fat. I have been customizing the "my favorites" list to include the foods I use the most. I have been also making use of the exercise tracker, getting at least 10 minutes of cardio every day. I try to do some strength trainig 3 days a week.

Personal Information:
I live in Northeastern Montana. I work more than full time at a desk job. I spend way too much time on the computer...

Jan, 2016 -- All of this still holds true.

Other Information:
Am a cat person. Like to knit, sew, quilt, garden -- but don't seem to get much of them done.

2/24/2013 -- Several fiber craft people have been meeting during lunch hour once a week to work on projects, visit, and show off our latest projects. We also share techniques when someone has a problem with their project. Some are also starting into spinning using drop spindles.

Thank you for your support, I have been using the nutritin tracker and it has made me aware of a lot of calories that I didn't know existed! At least no bloodclots the ultrasound said-but tendons and ligiments are messed up-I guess! Age just gets in the way sometimes! Have a great wekend! emoticon edited:1/15/2010

Thank you for the comment on my blog. You are very right, paying attention is crucial when it comes to weight loss and being healthy.

I was nervous about the food tracker so it is good to hear that someone really enjoys it.

    Good luck on your journey.

Thanks for the blog comment. I think I will use your suggestion if he has any comments for me in the future. I'll turn it back on him..."What is it about my weight loss that bothers you?" I saw on your page that you work at a desk job. Would it be possible for you to trade your chair at work for a stability ball? I heard thats all the rave now :)
