Thank you for reading my blog about my dress code rebellion and sharing your story. Basketball? I remember "Girls' Rules - playing 6 on 6. 2 dribbles and pass. Not allowed to cross the center line. Girls were considered much to fragile to run full court. By the time I got to college, one girl, the "roving forward" was allowed to run full court. Also remember a girls' game that went into overtime being stopped because "the boys team had to practice" It’s hard to imagine now how many obstacles, great and small, that women faced and how we once just accepted it as “the way things were.”
