You are the recipient of the Beautiful Woman Award!!
Once you've been given this award, you have to paste it on the page of 8 women who deserve it. If you receive more than 3, you know you're really beautiful! If you break the chain, nothing will happen, but it's always good to know someone thinks you're beautiful inside and out!
Funny writing Patti after all these years because that is what I used to go by and that is how I spelled it. Actually my mom called me Patti Ann. My dad used to call me Bridget because that is what he wanted to name me. He was certainly a character!!!
I did really well with my weight loss until about a year ago when we went to Fargo for a week for my younger daughter's graduation from grad school!! Since we were eating out a lot because she was coming home with us for a while and did not want to leave food in her fridge I regained some weight and have gained about another 15 pounds since that time without changing my diet and adding extra half hour per da exercising. It gets to be so hard when we become women of a certain age!!! As soon as this snowy weather is over I plan to join a gym so I can swim a few days a week!! Hopefully that will do it!! The good thing is that it looks like I have plateaued with the weight gain!!!
Just wanted to welcome you to the Managing Diabetes Team!! It is such a great team. I have ben diagnosed for almost 3 years. I started out on Metformin twice a day too and now I control with diet and exercise. My first A1C was 9 and went to 6 in 3 months and if I can do it (I was the original peanut butter cup aholic ) anyone can!! I had no symptoms other than a 40 pound weight loss (it was summer and my shorts for the first time were way too big) and that sent me to my doctor who delivered the news. This team is just great, full of very nice people who are supportive and always ready to help!!
Looking forward to getting to know you!! I added you as a friend!! Hope that was okay!!
