My name is Randi, and yes I am female lol. I am 25 and in school for marketing and design. These past couple years have been a struggle and the first time that I have ever been overweight. In high school I was very active and fit. I want to be there again, I want to feel like I am 25 not 85. I want to really stick to a healthy lifestyle now and am ready to put on a bikini this summer! A friend told me about this site and I am really excited to get started. Just worked out for 20 minutes, one day down!

Sweets! I have a sweet tooth that could make Java The Hut look like he counts calories. After every meal I crave something sweet. So that is a major thing I will be getting a handle on! I even bought some 100 calorie snack that look delicious!

ANOTHER WEAKNESS: Smoking...I picked up this nasty little habit around 2 ago, and already I know I need to quit. My theory is, working out will make me stop because lord knows you cant be a runner and a smoker! I am cutting down to about 7 a day which is a good start.

Portion control! I am learning the hard way that snacking throughout the day is a better way to go than eating huge meals at once! I hate that feeling of being stuffed, the same feeling I used to need to just feel good.

All in all, I think I have a pretty good chance at succeeding in this little plan of mine! Wish me luck on this journey and I want to thank everyone on this site for their support and inspiration!

My Goals:
I have a variety of goals that I want to achieve. Of course I want to go swimming this summer and feel comfortable in a swimsuit. I am currently finishing my associates degree in marketing.

My Program:
I guess I do not have an actual "program" because if I set to many rules I cannot follow them. The main thing is portion control and calorie counting. I also want to incorporate 20 minutes of walking and stretching a day.

Personal Information:
I am from Indiana, in the middle of a corn field lol. I live with my best friend and I have been at my current job for over 2 years.

Other Information:
I claim to be some sort of artist but interests in general seem to change from day to day. I love to paint, especially in oils. I absolutely adore writing and literature, stick me in a book store and I can stay there for hours.

    hey... randi.. which i do like the name.. lol i have a brother named randy.... but anyways im 22 and was fit in highschool... i feel like im 70.. always tierd... and i would love to have other friends on here who are going thru the same thing.. i want my body back.... if u need anything hit me up!!

    Hey Miss Randi - I just wanted to check up on you and see how your weight loss journey is going - Mine is going horribly horribly and I really need to get into that bathing suit body. I hope yours is going better - you look smaller already I noticed that today. How is the treadmill treating you :)

    Hey! I am glad you msg'd. This week has been a little rough, I seem to keep going form being *really* good to eating like 8 cookies in a row, haha - probably shouldn't have purchased those girl scout cookies! But, If I want to be bad, I have been trying really hard ot be good the rest of the time. Yesterday I had salads with chicken and then last night I wanted ot be bad so I had 6 cookies, but amazingly enough I managed to stay within my calorie limits. As far as eating out - I completely agree! I broke down on Monday and went and got Thai food (lovE it!) and by the end of the evening after eating it I felt so horrible I ended up taking peptobismal my stomach just felt so uneasy. So, even though I have a sweet tooth a bit, I do think my body is starting to adjust to certain foods. Next week is going to be the tough point for me - I am going on a week long break out of town and will be with family and friends the entire time, which usually means eating out daily. So, my goal is to just try my hardest ot make smart choices and god for the grilled chicken or fish instead of like fish and chips (fried). We'll see how it goes! I am glad to hear things with you are going well - that is fantastic! Are you working out as well? Or just eating better? I have been trying to include working out but it is so hard to find the time. I have fouind these great videos though to do at home, they are called 'Walk at Home' and it is like 15 minute miles you 'walk' at home. It is a great workout for a quick 15 minutes. Let me know if you have any good workout or easy/quick/healthy meal ideas! Keep up the good work!!!! emoticon

    Hi! Thanks for dropping by my page. Yes, my cat is just wonderful, I love her dearly. Her name is Bella. Meeka is a cool name btw, my previous cats name was Hyskinchief, a little odd, but fit him perfectly. Bella is so spoiled, so her name fits her well also.

    Good luck on your weight loss, mine is not going so well, it was valentines and my birthday this week so I basically have eaten an entire cake - awful! But come Monday I am seriously going to try getting back on the wagon and start losing. Today I realized my favorite jeans - which were big on me - are now tight. So it is time! I am great at listening to others so feel free to message if you want to try helping each other stay on track!
