When I was young, I was really thin. As I entered my 20s I started to put on a little weight, but only when I was 40 and stopped smoking, did I really put on weight. I have been dieting on and off ever since- I still feel like a thin person in a temporally fat body.

Fitness Minutes: 944

My Goals:
I desperately wanted to loose weight in 2006 as both my daughters got married. I did loose quite a bit -not as much as I had hoped, but still. I have had health problems this past year & the weight has gone back on. My first goal is to get back to what I was for the weddings and then to continue.

My Program:
 Keeping on track during the week - swimming and eating healthy, keeping track and recording all that I eat - especially over the weekends. Going to the Mirikal group and keeping to the programme


Personal Information:
I'm Jackie,54, I'm originally from the UK but now live on a kibbutz in Israel. I'm married with 3 grown up kids - 2 daughters who got married in 2006 and a son. In May 209 I became the very proud grandmother to a beautiful baby girl, with a beautiful name: Roni.

    I just joined Israel team. I live in Raananna and am from the states. I am the leader of 3 teams and I want to make a suggestion to you. Personally, i did really love the words guide people living in Israel to better health. We aren't that behind the times really and have the knowledge you have. I suggest you alter the word guide to something else.

    I was recently in the states and noticed many more morbidly obese folks there then here. I wish you good luck with your team but on second thought I think I will resign. emoticon

    Hi Jackie,
    Seems like we might have a few things in common. I am originally from NY and made aliya to a kibbutz. I met my husband on kibbutz, he was a volunteer and I was on the ulpan program. Kibbutz life was difficult for me so we compromised and now we are living on a moshav.

    I am 47 and have 4 children, 2 grown up. I would love to lose a few pounds before a family trip to the States. Lets keep on track!

    I forgot to introduce myself to the whole Israel group and now I think I will just skip it. My husband and I made aliya from the USA in June 2007. My daughter in the states invited me to join SparkPeople and I am thrilled with it.
