My goal is to eat healthy and exercise. If I loose weight it is a plus. I have also followed the Diabetes program. I don't have any issues. However, my son has type two Diabetes. While he is already on his own I wanted to know what he has to follow and live with everyday. This is just a better way to understand what he is facing. It is also a better way for me to prepare healthier meals when he comes over. My husband is benefiting from the change to healthier eating and exercise as well. I told my son, he said he wasn't surprised I wanted to learn more. It gave him the opportunity to open up to his personal challenges. So, healthier diet, more exercise, more water and I know I will loose weight. My personal goal is to go the distance and not to give up after four months. I am on my way! 2020: Keep moving forward! Word of the year: Rest . Come to me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you reat. Matthew11:28 . Clarity to move forward. Winter challenge / drink that water, a struggle for me. Exercise 10 minutes longer. Usually do 30 minutes. Some days more. Increase whatever the amount is on that day by 10 minutes.

April 17, my son A1C has gone up two points. He said he needs to record his food again. He lost 21 lbs. His fiance died in Oct. 2017. I know he is still going through the grief of the loss. She was his high school sweetheart. They were together since high school. 16 years. I have told him about Sparkpeople, but he is his own person. All I can do is support him. May 2020 find rest, peace and health for my son.

Hi and thanks so much for your prayers. This is a very slow recovery! There is a lot of pain at the incision site. Precautions are very strict with no bending, twisting or lifting up to. Couple pounds. Thanks appreciate it!!

Hi Rosalie, emoticon emoticon so much for reading and sharing your thoughts on my 100 days blog! That's great that you're doing a winter challenge, makes things more fun. Actually I don't have a co-worker now that I'm doing my plan with - I used to back in the day so right now it's me and my sparkfriends. But I get lots of support here on Sparkpeople so it's good. Have a great evening! emoticon emoticon emoticon
