Introduction Text My name is Sharon and I am here to begin again (again, again, again). Whew, tired of saying that phrase. This time, I would truly like to stick to healthy, wholesome eating for the rest of my life. What size will that make me? What number will appear on the scale? Psh, it doesn't even matter. What matters is that I am making conscious, healthy food choices every single day. That DOES mean dessert and margaritas sometimes, because, let us be completely honest, this is the rest of my life we are discussing here! However, the majority of the time (say....85%), I will eat so I may be healthy and fit. Let the journey commence.

My ultimate goal is to be healthy. -To have the ability to run. -To STOP eating and drinking in response to stress or high emotion

*I follow most of the guidelines in the South Beach Diet. *I eat 3 meals a day along with 1 to 2 snacks. *I eat a lot of fresh, whole foods and limit anything that is premade or preserved. *I eat only whole wheat rice/ pasta/ breads and pay attention to portion sizes. *Vegetables! Vegetables! Vegetables! *I hit the gym 5 days a week, doing cardio everyday and strength training Tues. and Thurs. *I realize that dining out is not always a "special occasion" *I will not deprive myself. I always have the choice and consider the consequences.
