I started Sparkpeople in earlier 2007. I did a STRONG 6 YEARS. In those 6 years I lost 85 lbs starting at 225 lbs and getting to 140 lbs, and kept it off. I started with just walking for 1-2 hrs each day until I lost 75 lbs. Then.....then I found my LOVE for running. Thats where the other 10 lbs came off and how they stayed off. I started running, and started doing half marathons. I could never get below 140 lbs though. Due to my obsessiveness and fear, I restricted ...

I started with just walking for 1-2 hrs each day until I lost 75 lbs. Then.....then I found my LOVE for running. Thats where the other 10 lbs came off and how they stayed off. I started running, and started doing half marathons. I could never get below 140 lbs though. Due to my obsessiveness and fear, I restricted calories so much that when I would run 13.1 miles and BURN 1300+ calories I would still only eat 1000-1200 calories a day. If I had one more morsel would then purge. Also binge and purge. Somewhere between 2013-2014 I fought the bulimia, and yo yoed my weight. I may be missing some info, but NOW it's all quite a blur. I am no longer who I was then. I am no longer a runner. I am no longer married. I am no longer a SAHM. EVERYTHING changed. Middle of 2013 I was still a SAHM, still running, still married and bought a home. By the beginning of 2014 my life started to majorly change. My marriage crumbled due to criminal activity on his part, and an addiction of gambling coming into light. I then had to become the bread winner after being a SAHM for 9 years. My running had to start to decrease. By the end of 2014 I decided I needed a divorce. I needed a better life for my children. Which by the way are MY BLESSINGS!! Also towards the end of 2014...my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. Throughout 2015 I fought the battle with my mom and her cancer. I could no longer run because it was just me. Before he would be home with the boys sleeping while I ran from 3 am until 6 am. Always returning home before or as they woke. So everything I knew was swept form under my feet. I found the Lord Easter of 2015 as well and got baptized May 24 2015. My divorce was final towards the end of 2015. I lost my mother beginning of 2016. So the last time I was able to run a half marathon was April 2014 where I completed back to back half marathons, which is 2 in 2 days. Last time I was able to run was November 2014. So now I am a divorced single mother. No friends. No family. No breaks. Having my children 24/7 with zero help, care, or love. I do not have a clue as to who I am, as I have never been able to find that out. The only thing I could control back in the early days in Spark was my calories. I can't find time to breathe, let alone exercise. I have back issues that include degenerative disease, desiccated disc, and synovial cyst. I am my own worse critic and enemy. I am currently 178 lbs as I have been able to not go above since I last was active on here in 2014. I don't know where I am going or how I am going to do it. Not just HERE on Spark, but in my everyday life. So as crazy as it sounds..for me....THIS is the best time to put one foot in front of the other and just...keep...swimming.

Log every thing I eat BEFORE I eat it. (Planning is important for me and makes it A WHOLE LOT easier!)
Walk at least 10 mins a day. I have to start somewhere.
