I'm someone who's struggled with my health and self-image pretty much my whole life. Way back in the summer of 2011 or 2012, I joined SparkTeens. Whenever I think back to my experience on the website, I remember it fondly. The community and activities and all-encompassing wellness trackers not only helped me lose weight that summer but I was feeling better about my overall self at that point. Fast forward to 2019. I'm 23 years old, and I'm back in the trap of feeling unhealthy and down on myself. I've tried other wellness websites and apps in the past, but for some reason I never thought of using the 'adult' version of SparkPeople before now. So. Here I am. Back in the 'Spark' Saddle, but seven years older and (hopefully) wiser.

My Goals:
- Do something active every day.
- Lose 35lbs (from 155-120)
- Do the splits, all three ways.

- Do something social once a week
- Practice unabashed gratitude

My Program:
I am starting this journey while I am on study abroad in Stockholm Sweden. Therefore, I might not be able to be as consistent as I'd like, BUT. Here's the bones of my program:

- Walk everywhere I can
- Walk in the woods and on the beach behind my dorm 3-5x a week.
- Go to the gym 3-5x a week
- Log my food (but let myself, every once in a while, indulge because - hey - it's study abroad!)

Personal Information:

Like I previously said, I'm 22 years old. This fall I'll be starting my fifth and final year of undergraduate education in Film, Video & Media Studies and a minor in Art History. I hope to pursue my Masters degree and either work in film studies or library work, that's a little up in the air.

I am so extremely grateful for my wonderful support system, especially my partner and my amazing family. They are so kind and understanding and are always willing to help me reach my goals, especially my wellness.

Welcome (back) to SP and to the LGBTQ team! So glad you joined.

Sporks were most definitely my favorite utensil until last week, when we got a chork in our carryout bag. Yes, a chork. I don't know if I love it or am terrified.

Hope to see some Sweden photos after you get back.
