Introduction Text I am married with four children. The oldest is 36 and the father of my first and currently only grandchild (boy) and my youngest is 20. None of my kids are at home anymore, sigh. I am a transplanted American living in Canada (I have dual citizenship) looking at becoming a snowbird and/or moving back to the US permanently. Hubby and I would like to travel and I'd like to travel with a LOT less weight as baggage!

Besides losing weight as a goal I really want to have a healthier lifestyle and be able to actually DO more things with my husband.

I am tracking my food and exercise AND blood sugars (when I remember) and trying to cook healthy and remain active.

I was born in the Seattle area and spent most of my time there. I have lived in California, Alaska, Hawaii, Florida and Missouri as well. As much as I would love to move back down to the US I am probably better up in Canada due to the health care.

I'll try nearly anything once. We've hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and back up again. Note to self - don't do it again especially in July! Hiked parts of the Juan de Fuca Marine Trail. GORGEOUS. Would like to go on the zip line at the Grand Canyon and would like to take a double kayak and go "camping" with hubby in and around the Puget Sound. Have been canoe/camping down the Red Deer River and white water canoeing on the Pembina River. Our latest adventure is scuba diving and aiming to get our certification when we visit the Cayman Islands April 2013.
