Hi! Thanks for checking in on me! I hope your day is going great and that you are on your way to making positive changes with each choice you make today : )
I am a stay-at-home mother of two young children. And, although finding time to work is a daily challenge, I am also a jewelry artist.
Weight has been a struggle for me since having children. Up until then (without realizing it at the time) I was at or fairly close to a healthy weight. But, after the kids, I have lost and gained over and over and every time I re-commit to making a permanent change, I am heavier than the last time I re-committed. A few months ago I hit my all-time high of 190 which is heavier than when I was at 9 months pregnant with either child and that was my wake-up call. That, and realizing that I was starting to avoid mirrors, pictures, friends and family gatherings due to my excessive weight. Oh and did I mention that at 190, little 5'3" me was as heavy as my 5'11" husband - whoops!
SOOOO, I am committed to doing whatever it takes this time to stick with a healthy life plan. I'm not holding myself to a deadline, instead I am taking it one day at a time. If I can make this day a healthy one, and follow it with another and another, then I know the weightloss will come but more importantly, I will be free of the drastic ups and downs that have come with going into free-fall every time something trips me up. I am not allowing myself to be in "perfectionist mode" - no more all or nothing. I accept that there will be some bad choices...there will be some half-assed tracking...there will be bad days...but I will not let it stop me in my tracks because it's not perfect.

Here is my plan:
I am attending weekly WeightWatchers meetings in addition to logging my food and exercise here daily at SP (started logging as of 2/24/09)

Weight as of 2/26/09 - 181
Weight as of 3/12/09 - 182.9

I have lived many places but I am now living in Portland, OR and I love it!
