Introduction Text 63 yr. old grandmother. Had lapband surgery 9/26/07. Have three children and 9 grandchildren.

My new goals for 2012 is to lose the 40 pounds I gained in the last year. I am having surgery 1/11 to remove hiatel hernia and get my esophagus back where it is supposed to be. My goal once that is over is to get back to basics, begin exercising again and try to get back to my goal weight.

I am trying to just watch my proteins and carbs. I haven't been exercising for about a year but my plan is to begin again once given the go ahead after my upcoming surgery. I will be going to the rehab center at the hospital to work on the machines since I can't do any weight bearing exercise.

I am from Mineral Wells, Texas. I was widowed May 18, 2011 and have let myself go for a year now. It is time to get my life back and get back to basics and lose this weight I have gained.
