Introduction Text My dad passed away August 1, 2020 and it reignited the fire in me to be kinder to myself and take care of me after neglecting to do so for many years. I want to be able to fit into my old clothes and be in good enough shape to take an active vacation. I want to feel better overall and have more energy.

I'm focusing on mostly clean eating, being mindful of carbs, reducing sodium where I can, increasing my vegetable consumption and limiting beef and pork. I'm starting to get into yoga and look forward to being outside with my dog more once the weather starts getting cooler.

It's just me and my dog at my house right now and we have been quarantining pretty seriously since March because of my immunocompromised mom. Winnie, my pup, gives me so much joy and makes staying in bearable. I try to be really active on Spark because I'm pretty isolated right now. (I also work from home). I love to travel and learn about other cultures. I've been to 5 continents and am currently enjoying learning more about Latin America. Planning my fantasy #treatmyself, post-pandemic vacation is what's getting me through quarantine at the moment. I'm in grad school studying a women's protest movement in Chile and am excited to return there once I've gotten in better shape and can take on some more challenging hikes! Patagonia, here I come!
