I have lost 200 plus pounds without surgery or crazy diets.

I took my miserable, unhealthy 460 pound life and turned it completely around by going from bedridden, unhealthy and helpless to being happy, full of passion, more fit/ healthy and having a career as a certified master coach thanks to God, SparkPeople, and an amazing realization that mindset and physiology play a bigger role in weight than willpower.

At 460 pounds, I realized that being miserable, overweight and depressed had much to do with my horrific disabilities. I felt as if life was on hold, like I was just waiting to die- trapped in my own body. I also felt alone and like nobody understood.

Doctors thought the answer was weight loss surgery, but I realized that it was stomach surgery and my problem was more emotional eating, binge eating, and night eating. So it was more about what was in my head than what was on my fork. So, I took time to deal with those things and as I did, I developed a new type of plan- a mindset makeover.

After losing more than 200 pounds, I went to school and became a certified Master Coach. My whole life has changed thanks to SparkPeople and the realizations I made during my journey.

My method of communicating and helping people is through blogging. Please check out my personal blogs on my page to learn some of the things I’ve discovered on my journey to health and weight management. Perhaps some of the things I’ve learned can help you!

My Spark mail can get pretty backed up at times, so if you don't hear back from me, it may be that I’m behind in my Sparkmail. I genuinely care, so please feel free to write me at indygirl101@icloud.com. If you really need someone to talk to that gets it, my text number is 317-772-2545. I would be glad to hear from you. You can also search me out on Facebook under Beth Donovan in Fishers, Indiana.

“If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant; if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome.”
    —Anne Bradstreet (1612-1672)

I found this quote to be very timely ... even back in the 1600's when the author lived they faced adversity. I hope that you are able to find your "spring" after this current "winter" and that you can appreciate all the good in your life that much more.
