I bought these plants a few years a go and don't remember what they are called, i believe they grow wild in Hawaii, i am in California. I don't know a lot about plants but care for and love my little indoor garden i have more photos on my page.Your life is only as good as your mindsetI sat a goal today of doing 120 minutes of exercise and I met that goal with weights, walking and my peddler. I am going to be stronger going out of this month than I was going in. Now to just get my eating under control. LolBest exercise equipment i have had. This one i really use. I put it down in front of me, put my feet in it, turn the TV on and peddle away. I do 120 minutes a day in two sessions of 60 minutes. My nutritionist says i am burning 800 calories. I do 6x a week, taking Sunday as a rest day.#BeforeAndAfterbefore before photo from 2011 before Spark. I reached my small goal of weighing 159 woohoo. I have no set diet just a lot of changes in my eating habits. I eat few carbs except fruit. I rarely have fast food. I eat a big salad once a day and mostly eat fish and chicken with lots of vegetables. What helped me this month was not binging on sweets.I just finished my latest painting. I really enjoyed doing this one.I paint to relieve stress and boredom. Here are my latest two paints. I did it by eating good 80% of the time and ate junk food 20% of the time. I do love to take walks and use my peddlerToday is the start of a new week and I have plans to make this the best week ever. I am going to do my peddler Monday-Saturday for 120 minutes unless I walk and if I do will adjust my peddler time. I am going to do IF every other day ( I have in the past with success). I am going to journal my feelings and not turn to junk foods. And I will see the scale go down again. I post this to be accountable to my Spark friendsMy latest stress buster. Painting is what i do when emotions get to be to much and I want to binge. I think this is helping me a lot to get a hood of my emotions instead of turning to food.I am doing great on the Summer 5% Challenge. I am learning new habits to help me be healthier and lose weight in a safe way. I am exercising more to help fly my team to fun destinations. Each minute exercise counts as a mile, today i did 120 minutes of exercise so sent the plane forward 120 miles, such fun.Journal and put your feelings on paper not a fork#BeforeAndAfter i have not had my hair cut since my hubby fall and broke his neck in 2016. So it had grown very long. It is longer by eight months in my before photo,it had gotten to the middle of my back. I feel so cool and carefree. My hubby's caretaker cut my hair and did a good job.As my husband said " you don't have to be black to be outrage just American" and as i add " or human"I did the Summer 5% challenge to shed 5% of my weight. I reached 75% of that goal and had a blast doing it. I am going to do the Fall 5% challenge and shed more weightWhen i get bored I turn to painting. Here is my latest. I eat enough at meals and don't need snacks between meals or after dinnerToday i bought a new journal that i am going to make into a comfort journal filled with photos and thoughts that give me comfort.Got my hair cut really short as a reward for doing my exercise all last week. I cut off all the dyed brown and now have it dark gray in back and white and gray in front.NSV hubby says my new hair cut makes me look youngerToday is strength training with five pound dumb bells. I do it on Mon. Wed. & Fri. I have a routine i do that works for me.Happy HalloweenGetting on here late today as on Sundays I watch all the shows I have recoded during the week. I also hung out with hubby this is one of our days alone. We talked about if something happened to one or the other of us. We decided that it would be best if I did not lose anymore weight. I need to have some weight on I can lose in case I got sick. Also I need extra padding in case I fall. So going to eat healthy, exercise and maintain my weight.Today starting my day off right planning my food and exercise, reaching out to friends for support and not letting temping foods be my down fall just saying no thank you and drinking a bottle of sparkling water with green tea.Our caregiver tested posative to Covid-19 we found out Monday the 4th. When over she sneezed while giving my hubby a back rub. She had a mask on but still. I have been on s binge for over a week. I broke it yesterday and will have a good day today, i am strong i have set goals and will do better in the days to come.Today id day fourteen since hubby and i were exposed to a caregiver with Covid-19. We both feel fine, i guess we dodged a bullet.I am using my painting to relieve stress, here is the latest. I find painting is better than comfort foods.Off to a good start i had oatmeal, i see some Gordon's potato crusted fish in store for dinner#BeforeAndAfter little changes can make a lot of difference. One of the changes i made was to give up fast food except Subway. I added more veggies to my meal plans and snacked on fruit instead of candy. I gave up buying big bags of chips and just bought small bags every now and than. Switched from Diet Coke to Diet Peach Green Tea. Little changes to make a big difference.The gal in this photo would not dream of planning her day but the gal who is fifty five pounds lighter gets up early each morning and plans her day. I plan what i am going to do for exercise, what i will cook or get for take out and something nonfood i will di to comfort myself.My Hubby's long awaited electric wheelchairI joined the 2021 Spring Challenge and glad i did. I was in the 2020 Spring Challenge and did really good. I am looking forward to more success. It is a great place to work towards losing weight and get great support along the way.This weeks weigh in I was down a pound and than today I am down one more. What I am doing different is I am aiming for 1,200 calories a day or at least staying on the low end of my allotment for the day. I am also doing low carb, gave up the bread of Veggie Delight sub at Subway and just having a salad. I love salad and have been known to pig out on it. I get my money's worth at a buffet in salad. Now if I could just stay away from the dessert bar.New week and i can continue to eat around 1,200 calories and the scale will continue to go down WooHooStarting today off with a little peddler for 30+ minutes. Going to walk around the supermarket and Goodwill today. That should be my 60 minute exercise for the day. That and eating around 1,200 calories a day is my program and it is working for me so far this month I have lost five pounds.The Easter Bunny came and brought a basket for each of us with a dozen plastic eggs with two or three candies in each. Also the basket had a small stuffed bunny rabbit for each of us. The bunnies will join my other stuffed animals on my bed. I love stuffed animals and since the start of Covid-19 I have bought at least one a month to give myself nonfood comfort, nothing like hugging a teddy bear to give comfort.Monday does symbolically represents the first day of a new eating plan. After a day of eating a bunch of Easter candy i am going back on the one I have been using. I liked it and was losing weight, low carb and sweets only one day a week. Yesterday I way over did it on sweets and I had very salty ham for dinner. I did not get on the scale as I knew I would have tons of water weight. Today drinking lots of water and eating liteNew week new chance to eat healthy and exercise more. I started today off making plans for my success
1. Join Walking Your Way 5K challenge and do some walking or what ever the challenge says each day for a month
2. Track what I eat staying in my allotment for the day
3. Post on my team pages encouraging them when I can
4. Journal my feelings instead of eating them
Those are my plans for success what are yours?This is how i feel today wanting to freely go as i want but i can not with this virus. I need to go out as little as i can. Just going out for food and than only in my neighborhood, i am not riding the bus or light rail train.
I will not stress eat!!!!I whipped up a Spring painting to put a bright spot in my Hubby's bedroom/living room. I put it near our indoor garden. Can you see the lady in this one?Here is my latest painting, can you see the girl in it? It is an abstract and you see what you want in it. I just painted as my feeling flowed down my paint brush. I had a lot of fun with it and can't wait to start a new canvas.This is not me this who i was before Spark People. I have changed my eating habit and i exercise most every day. I am 44 pounds lighter. It is easier to do most every like trying my shoes.I gave myself a Christmas i worked hard on my fasting days and got back to my small goal weight of 163 #BeforeAndAfter my before photo date is wrong it is September 2011Here is a my before photo from 2011 where i put a lot of weight on my 5'2" frame and here is a photo of what i look like now. I put on this weight by eating out. I pledge to myself and my Spark family to eat my meals at home or meals i pack from home fallowing the plan i made of healthy meals. I will remember that these are meals made from food i like!! #BeforeAndAfterMy hobby a little table top indoor garden. I have had one for years and did nit know how this one would take with the move in May. They were moved in the bed of a pick up through town. They had a lot more light in the old apartment and were on the first floor. They are facing a different way to the sun and are 12 flights up. They seem to love it and are thrivingGot my 10,00 miles in today walking to the supermarket and around the Farmer's market. I got good buys on white peaches, plums, hot peppers, corn, two kinds of grapes and treated hubby and me two big whole wheat oatmeal cookies. #BeforeAndAfter the dates under my photos is wrong, the before is from 2011 before Spark People.Every day should be filled with doing things that keep you happy and away from stress and comfort foods.

After 14 years together and living together for over 6 it was time to get marriedLost 14 lb in April doing fasts 3x weekI asked my hubby to support me in my fasting and on eating days my not snacking all evening. I was able to not binge for over a week now, my goal is a streak of 21 days. You do some thing for 21 days it is s habit. I can do this with the help and support of my loving hubby.Keeping my hands busy so no mindless snacking i made hubby a Native American inspired necklace using bison bone beads and wood beans. Should I keep going to that goal? My doctor says I am fine at this weight. What do you think? I have come a long way but I thought I had come far enough and started eating what ever junk food I wanted and weight is going up again. I need to nip this in the bud and get back on track.Plans changed and went out to eat where i over ate on fried mini shrimp and french fries, i feel sick now. No dinner tonight!!!

New month new look, marching in to March with a clear mind and good attitude to get back on track and stay on truck. Eating with a plan and walking as much as I canHubby's ocean wall in his man cave. Making his room fun to be in is good for his health and mineWalked almost an hour todayScale my friend since i stopped dieting and just went back to the good habits that helped me lose the first 50 pounds, no fast food no junk food an except for breakfast only eating when hungry. I also eat only 3 meals and one snack. I eat my dinner and lunch on a blue 8 inch plate and do not take seconds. I have also stopped eating a snack in the evening
