better outlook today

Friday, May 16, 2008

Today is supposed to be 95 degrees. So last night I deep cleaned my bedroom and put the airconditioner in the window. ( good for 60 min cardio). This am I walked the parking lot. Was in a good attitude just going round and round thinking about things I need to be doing. ( wound up going faster than usual) another 5k down 60 min. Kinda weird though my hands and fingers are all swelled up, and realy tight. ( it's 10 am here and I've had that walk and about 5 glasses of water, and 1 glass of cold mint tea, so my sodium shouldn't be that high. ( maybe the italian roast beef from dinner last night??)

Anyway, my attitude is back where it should be, and my food at least until - dinner is planned out . Going on a team walk tommorrow with my Eugene Sparkers team, which should be really nice, as it is along the river trail, and it's early so the temp will be just right.

That swelling in the hands is what I am so worried about when I do the Susan Komen 3 day walk... after a while it begins to hurt. I have read all different reasons... gravity (which I don't buy because it really happens more when it is hotter out), not enough sodium (?) , not enough potassium (??) Not sure but I really want to know! I am glad your attitude has been found again Cindy! Kathy

95 degrees sounds great! Although, I'd probably complain about it being too hot. Right now it's 50's and rain. Hope you have a great weekend. Deb
