Relieved to eat my own cooking again!

I have planned my meals for today, and will eat what I plan!
For breakfast, I am having one string cheese, one egg +1/2 cup of egg whites nuked in the microwave..
Lunch is going to be a container of greek yogurt, and a packet of Bumble Bee wild salmon plus a little lite mayo to make a salmon salad.
Dinner is going to be a nicely broiled Tilapia fillet (4 oz).
My "snack" is going to be a medium sugar-free caramel, nonfat milk latte. Yum!
Plenty of water, no doubt!
I had some learning lessons this weekend -- that living the lapband life is going to take some more adjustments.
Case in point -- I was sad that I had to toss out the remainder of my grilled salmon at dinner on Saturday night. Even though we had a refrigerator in our room, once we checked out there was no refrigerated option for the leftovers. So lesson #1 is to always have an insulated bag in the trunk of the car. We can always pick up ice somewhere!
Lesson #2 -- I need to look ahead to checking restaurant and chain websites so that I can be prepared and plan in advance what my calories are and what my options are. Just about everyone has the nutrition data online. That way there are no surprises!
Lesson #3 -- I need to take EVERY opportunity to exercise when it arises. This weekend the hotel had a nice mini gym. But, did I bring my sneakers or workout clothes? Nope! So again, planning seems to be key to getting the biggest bang out of these first few months post surgery. I know this is the "golden" time that I need to maximize and use to my advantage.
But all lin all I did not do badly this weekend. Sadly the scale only moved a half a pound, but I think it is because I am making my way from mushy foods to regular foods, and my body is sahing, what the heck is going on here!!!???
I persevere and realize MY job is to drink more water, and move this body more.
