I confess that I have been discontended and grumbling.. which in turn has led to a slight let-up in not following the Bandster rules 100%. Overall I am "just okay" but the Devil is always in the details, y'know?
First point of discontent is that I am hungry -- most all the time. I am clearly in need of a fill - but my appointment is not until the 29th of June. (I have tried to move it to an earlier appointment slot but there is some national bariatric convention and all the doctors/clinicians are out of the office next week).
Second point of discontent is that the scale has stopped moving. Well, it went down one half a pound over 9 days.... ugh! that's it!
Of course, I admit that 99% of the fault lies with me. Tho I hate to admit it....I had not exercised, had not been drinking my water, and had allowed some non-protein foods to creep into my day. I even (gasp) had a snack sized bag of Famous Amos chocolate chip cookies the other day. Yes, the snacks are limite d in quantity but I cannot allow myself to begin to think it is OKAY to eat like I could before. And yesterday for lunch I not only had a slice of pizza, I added to that 1/2 of a piece of pizza with the cold mozzarella, tomato slices and basil on top. I chewed everything slowly, and it all went down without a hitch. That is just so wrong!
Well, I realized today also that there are only 37 days until I leave for Walt Disney World. I DO NOT want to be waddling around Disney at this weight. So I am determined to get back to basics and follow the doctor's program 100%.
1. Water, Water, Water daily
2. At least 3o minutes of exercise (elliptical or weights at gym) EVERY DAY
3. Eating three small meals (no more than 1 cup) daily consisting of protein, protein, protein!
4. Eating s-l-o-w-l-y and small bites
I am committed to doing this for the next 37 days. I started out well --- I already got on the elliptical for 3o minutes today and had egg whites and lowfat string cheese for breakfast.
