Hiked Mt pisgah today. had never been there before and we accidentally took the longer harder route up. Some parts are quite steep ! Feels kinda wierd walking under the bonneville Power lines. they make this sizzle noise.

Anyway 2 hours and 45 minutes round trip, with a 10 min break for kids to eat a snack. My legs are not happy with me.
Course the walk up to the store later may have helped slightly.
Got home and promptly took a 3 hour nap.lol. it kicked my tootsie. Hope I can walk tommorrow. Will go back again to hike, but take more water.

    Wow! You climbed a mountain! That's awesome! There is a Mount Pisgah in the Bible in the Old Testament. It can't be the same one but it just got me thinking. Way to go on the cardio! Walking/hiking is great and so are you! emoticon

    Have you ever tried /heard of bio-freeze? It is great to help get rid of next day muscle fatigue!

    Make sure to get in some stretching that will help as well!!

    Oh wow, that is AWESOME!!! Hey, you practically took an hour nap for every hour you walked, haha!

    I have exercised before, sat down to catch my breath and fell asleep without meaning too and woke up an hour or so later!

    hey there mama...LOL... you and I were on the same mission yesterday. I walked/hiked all around the state park where I live just outside of Daly city. I was wearing a HR monitor and a preometer...I clocked 11 plus miles and was walking constantly for the entire 2:50 minutes I was out. I was thrilled that the entire 170 minutes were in the fat burning "zone" according to the HR monitor when I got home! And I was a pound lighter today on the scale! Yeah!

    I'm trying not to ficus so much on the scale as I seem to be in a plateau right now..but I am really focusing on getting 700 calories a day burned off! I hope your scale is kind to you on your next weigh in- when you work that hard you deserve a "reward" Looking forward to the BL challenge! Go RED! I'm feeling like I'm on good team where we're motivated so that will motivate ME! Oh yeah! emoticon

    That is fantastic! It is quite an accomplishment.

    Just to pass on some information, there is someone else who did a hike on Hcg and the next day she gained 2#. Just wanted to let you know in case it happens to you. Didn't want you to be alarmed.

    I hope I get the stamina to do something adventurous some time soon.
