Story of my Life

Sunday, September 27, 2009

All my life i've been very active and I tried to stay as slim as possible. I am samoan and i don't want to say its in our genes but it is very common for samoans to be known as the happy and BIGG people. For this reason I've always tried to keep my figure in line, as well as the military having to help...But after meeting a wonderful mann who has made my world worth living it made me very, very HAPPY and not comfortable but SATISFIED! The beginning of our journey, we were very active in sports, excercising and all the above...until we became pregnant and yessss I say "we" because while i had cravings so did he. So when i became pregnant I used it as an excuse to eat whatever i pleased without feeling guilty because like the saying goes.."I'm eating for two" and that was the wrong saying to live by. At the end of my 1st pregnancy I gained 110 lbs. After a month has passed my hubby and I tried to get back into it and well shortly after I found out I was pregnant again.. emoticonI gave birth to my princess on June 01 2009 and This time I didn't gain but 35lbs.. but with all the prego weight that I have already gained it is harder than ever to get the pregnancy weight off.... We had a family reunion the ending of June 2009 and I seen my sister-in-laws as well as my bro-in-law on how much weight they have lossed and it inspired my hubby and I to get back into it. Since July i have lost 11lbs but I have not been able to keep up with the commitment. I am still in the military and with PT in the morning it has helped me in some way to be motivated....My hubby has drafted a work out plan for us to devote ourself to as well as us keeping eachother motivated...So wish me luck!!

Congratulations on your first blog. Keep up the good work. The more you put into you program (blogging, huddling, tracking food and exercise minutes, posting on your team pages, earning spark points) the more you will get out of your program- besides weight loss, you will get emotional support, friends who understand exactly what you are going through, accountability, focus, dependability...and the list goes on...
