sick, and giving up the reigns

Friday, October 30, 2009

I am still sick after a week. boss man fired me until monday. lol. Guess I was due since I never get sick, had to get it good this time. Supposed to be stablizing my weight while adding foods back. Lots of tomato soup, wierd how I am really liking that now, and not much else. But my weight is still below LIW.

I am giving up the reigns of the LIme team to Shanshe, she has done such a good job this season as my co-lead, I feel alright about dropping down. I have a heard time giving that kind of stuff up, but I would rather do a few things really well, than lots of things just ok. Most of my time will be directed at church stuff, as I have been asked to add some duties to my normal ones and that is my heart right now.

For those believers out there reading this, my father-in-law could really use soem prayer. He needs a lump removed from neck, but failed the stress test on his heart. They found the bottom half of his heart is not working right, so has to have a shunt put in, then they wait about a month before they can remove the lump. My MIL is quite stressed out.

At least my daughter is better and back to school :)

Cindy, I am honored that you feel confident to hand over the reigns to me on the Lime Team. I am also glad you sticking around as an honorary member on the team in case we run into some snags! :) You have been great at allowing me to help you this season and it is YOUR leadership that has produced such a great team, most of whom stick around season after season to KEEP losing! All that said, I too know how hard it is to give up something that is "yours". :)

I will be praying for your FIL and that things go well with him and all of you. I sure hope you get to feeling better soon yourself and am glad that your DD is well and back in school.

Best wishes in your church duties!

Mama: If you are able it was recommended to me that when you have a cold or start feeling that way, to take 4000 IU of Vitamin D3, and 100,000 IU of Vitamin A. Might be worth a shot.

Sorry to hear about your FIL. I assume from your post that the lump on the neck is near the spine since he needed a cardiac test to determine his fitness for the procedure (which I assume would be surgery under general anesthesia). Is there an idea as to what it is? Was it already biopsied? Sorry for all the questions, and feel free not to respond since I am being nosy, but surgeries of the spine and brain including removal of masses near the spinal cord are "my area".... I monitor that nerve pathways of patients undergoing surgery on the brain or spinal cord or spine.

I do hope the shunt works for him and he stabilizes enough to have the procedure.

Get better soon and I hope your father in law has success with the shunt. Thanks for all your hard work with the lime team. I'm glad you're doing well with your new plan/method!
